Why I Don't Cry
You, know Lord, I've said my good-byes
To my loved ones, but I didn't cry
But Lord I wonder if I should write it all down
For all to see why there will be left no frown
Am I willing to leave all You have allowed me
Yes, I'll leave all my material things so all can see
How You answered my prayers and supplied my needs
Abundant were my needs, but Lord I never felt greed
All the prayers you've answered, and provisions You made
While on the line for You, myself I gave
Things most important to me, is the peace inside
No one understands the glow that now resides
In my heart and soul, making me so content
Every now and then, I have to vent
My problems are now with world and the unsaved
They may never know, the peace... after God You gave
Your only begotten Son to carry our loads
As we live and go down our separate roads
They are still trying to control their own life
That's why there is so much strife
There is hate, fear, envy and crime, no peace to share
Cause Hearts are so cold, they really don't care
About their loved ones or their fellow man
Are not guided by You and Your strong hand
Satan dwells and has his way with them and their world
The daggers shoot and the swords swirl
Lord, please be in hearts, souls and minds of all
So someday soon, they will know and hear Your call
Ye who are weary, get out of the storms
Fill them with your presence and among them form
A life for You, so we all can share Your love
and all the blessings, that come from above
Give them a life, so they will come alive and awake
So Your peace, they won't from others try to take
They are so deaf, and even blind
Not knowing what they will leave behind
When they part from earth their turmoil
And not get to walk on Your Holy Soil
Lord, get Satan out of here...
He's not wanted and we don't fear...
His tactics and deeds he tries to spread
How can he win dangling from a thread
He will forever burn in the pits of hell
While we who are saved, forever, in heaven will dwell
We will leave all this dirt and will know it no more
Once we get in heaven and behind the door
Where there will be happiness, joy, bliss, beauty and love
That only You have prepared in our New Home above
Will we soar like eagles or faint and be dead
Or will we fly with the sparrows who have gone ahead
Tell me more God and what else I can to do
To make myself more in the image of You
There are so many doors You've opened up wide
But also closed many, as I struggled and tried
To use all You gave me to help reach others
And to spread You and Your love to my brothers
Lord, Is there a New Song for me before I leave
Let me hear Your voice, because in You I do believe
I know You are not finished with me as yet
Please talk to me, what to leave and to forget
My life and my cares are in Your hands
What else is there before the golden strands
Forgive me Lord when I fail and I might even forget to pray
But talk to me everyday about my journey and my last day
Time is nearing everyday, for my body... life soon to end
Please to my loved ones... Love and Blessings to them send
Why no tears, as I move swiftly along
Because I am ready for a New Song
You ask how can I actually carry a smile...
My New Song will be here in just a little while

He is ready to hold us close to Him when we need someone.
Forever loving us, comforting us, laughing and crying with us.
As His children, we know, we will see our Lord along with our Loved ones, once
again, and for always
