The Trip Home

When this life is over and my chores are done
I'm gonna live....in the midnight sun
Gonna get in a carriage and pedal along
Gonna shout with joy all right and no wrong
Gonna have all the promises God has made
For this day, I've prayed and prayed
Will be like a bird with wings
Clipped and anew
And be at peace and ease in all I do

Don't want anyone to miss the trip home
So will pray for now that all will want to go home
All in all, we have an awesome place to live
But for home on high...Oh what I'd give
I feel quite certain I'll be going there
Oh not a mess-up would I dare
Gonna walk my talk and sing my songs
And together we'll all go sailing along

With your shining and bright light
Oh, what flight
Oh, what a wonderful day and night
Read my mind and you will find
I'm happy and with much peace
It's all waiting for my Master' call and release

Forget all the losses, the hurt and pains
And find a new rainbow in a morning rain
Lord, You know I'm wanting to know
What You would have me do, before I go
Away from humanly nature and
Right into heavenly nurture

Forgive me each day before the sun goes down
So I'll know that real peace I have truly found
I love it when it's still and quiet
But await each day and look for the son...so bright
Gonna leave all I have here on earth
Cause no more of this after my rebirth
Born again in Your Holy Spirit is so great
I know it won't be much longer, I'll have to wait

I won't have to worry how I look or feel
Not consider any other deals
Growing in You, Going with You
Praying to You
Praising You in all things
Accepting life and all it brings
Worshipping You and Saying Hallelu.....

With roses and flowers
and heavenly showers
Will not be like me, a broken sparrow
But an eagle when I fly and
Not like a bent arrow
Lord, I love You

My heart and soul pines to see and I know
You as I leave here and with You I'll go
No, not a shadow of a doubt
This will be a time to shout and
Cry with love and joy in our souls
Cause You died for us so
We can be whole

I'll wait patiently for Your return
Oh Jesus, how I yearn
Tired of this old body and sin everywhere
Want to forget it all...glory and the victory share
Ready to move to my home on high
This is my dream and my last cry
