THE LORD TOOK MY HAND

The Lord took my hand and said write a song
Not a really long one, just speak what you feel
Well, here I am thinking away how can I have this done before too
long
I know many things about God that are absolutely real

He gives us breath...and a will to go on
He whispers to me, please....write a song
His spirit, His presence, His Almighty Love
Could be printed on the Wings of a Dove

You are the Great I Am. and the only One we need
Things you give us are so undeserved
To live here on earth, and grow from the seed
And at harvest time, we select and preserve

The sweetest  Words would praise and glorify Your Name
And what we've learned, can be kept in our hearts
As You gave Your Son and He died in shame
We could mold love, joy, faith, peace...
And blend it together til it can't  come (fall) apart
We'll dwell with You and the angels in Heaven someday
That's where I want to go, Yes Lord I pray

You carry us through the storms of life
You shelter us from evil and from , harm
And we grow in You, with all the stress and strife
Your Love is so beautiful, tender and warm

These words all come straight from my heart
With the push of God
And I will live for You Lord, til from this earth I part
Sharing and talking to You about such small things
The Bible says, ask, pray, teach and spread my Word everywhere
Then all the glory goes to You above
Be bold, reach out and shine your light
And love one another as Jesus might

God You are so wonderful and strong
Do You hear little words like these,
I could do this and worship You all the day long
Lord, hear me and help me please
