Good Morning World It's another morning after a restless night I hear God calling and saying look to the light Look for the shining and reach for the moon It's still there and will be back soon Make of today all you can think of dear And remember I am God and yes I'm very near Get the frowns off and let the past night go away Cause when you're sad and dreary it's another time to say Go away from me satan and say our of my life Don't like the dreams, they cause me more strife My mood and thinking is pretty desperate and low God tell me quickly how to make it go And leave my mind to have happy thoughts Not happy maybe, but more care-free So the blue of the sky can reach and brighten me God remind me...girl, you gotta be strong Look how far you've come along You have tread the wide roads and done wrong things Now it's time to go on and let your broken heart sing Make this another blessed day I have made for you Don't fret, get up...find something to do First...thoughts must turn from clouds and storms To a sunny day and blessings in all forms Make the most of the day that is left Avoid what makes you feel un-kept Try to smile...that's a good start Open up your eyes...then your heart Look for something good in...all around Maybe touch the grass and walk on the ground Cold because it's time for me to preserve For  next season, you'll get from your seeds what you deserve   The little birds seem to be headed south Off they are going with food...worm in their mouth Most of the flowers have withered and will die But the ground will keep them, so don't cry The trees are all losing their colorful leafs Some are prettier as their liveliness you keep   Don't let this day turn out to be gloomy and dreary Cheer up child...Nothing is as bad as it may seem Just because you had last night...another negative dream There's plenty of everything you need With much left over, so plant some seeds  Go out now and get amongst the people  Who are just leaving church...the one with the steeple  Let what they have found in their souls and heart  Get this day going and off to a better start   Bury and forget things of dread, sorrow and woe There's more surprises each mile you go It may be small, but there's something new Look for it today, and in all you do Hope and pray you'll see and get a blessing today Don't sluff them off when you hear me say Out there are things you never dreamed And even sunshine like you've never seen Count your blessings now and get in a spiritual mood There's plenty to drink and lots of food   Pick up your Bible and find a Psalms You'll find there stories...hope...and songs You'll pick up speed as you travel along Right in your palms Read about me and why I died To save you from hell, and even let them crucify Not cry over things you don't have or want Not cry over things wrong...you're not sure if right Not cry about things unheard and unseen Fill your self up for quiet sleep later...good dreams You can be filled and running over You can run through the grass and even pick clover Don't waste a minute of your time dear one Go, and you'll find some beautiful sun Ahead there is only promises and gifts from me So take them...use them...and mostly You'll have no choice but to thank me I made and gave all..so I'll hear your plea When you call...we'll do it all with help of me Get out and tell others of the love you have found May they too smile...and push aside the frowns Why not write it down as I give you words It'll  make things prettier than you ever heard Take advantage and make use of those senses Don't waste them or there will be consequences Take the narrow path always There you'll find bliss and rich...rich days Don't let the lack of anything into your thoughts Cause all you'll ever need, I have already bought Again I tell you pick up your cross Cause I was, I am and will forever be your Boss Look upward, I'm here and I'm also there What you have...I ask that you share Written By Shirley Updike October 17, 2004 ©2004 All Rights Reserved
